General Layout Theme Builder Options for Modern SharePoint Sites

The ShortPoint Theme Builder allows you to customize the General Layout of your page. This article shows you how to modify it and list down all of its modifiable features.

Prerequisites

• You must have the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx installed on your SharePoint environment.
• You must be a ShortPoint Designer with an active license.

Step 1: Open Theme Builder

• Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click the ShortPoint icon:

• Select Theme Builder.

Step 2: Go to General Layout

• Select General Settings.
• Open General Layout.

Step 3: Select a Layout

• Choose the Layout you prefer.

Step 4: Customize the Layout

• Customize the layout according to your preferences.

Step 5: Publish

• Once satisfied, publish your page.

Below are the layout options available:

• Full - this is the default layout of the page. Select this option to reset any General Layout settings you might have applied.

• Boxed - this layout adds spacing on the left and right sides of the page, narrowing it down. Selecting it opens up a set of features that can be further tweaked:

	Box Width	allows you to modify the width of the box. You can select either a percentage value or a fixed pixel value.
	Enable Box Shadow	when enabled, this will add a shadow around the box.
	Shadow Depth	This option is only available when the Enable Box Shadow is on. It allows you to control how wide the shadow effect is.
	Enable Box Border	when enabled, this will add a border around the box.
	Box Border Width	this option is only available when the Enable Box Border is on. It allows you to control the thickness of the border in pixels.
	Box Border Color	this option is only available when the Enable Box Border is on. It allows you to modify the color of the border.

• Frame - this layout adds spacing around your page, framing it. When selected, the following options can be modified:

	Frame Width	allows you to control the width of the frame.
	Enable Frame Shadow	when enabled, this will add a shadow around the frame.
	Shadow Depth	this option is only available when the Enable Frame Shadow is on. It allows you to customize how wide the shadow effect is.
	Enable Frame Border	when enabled, this will add a border around the frame.
	Frame Border Width	this option is only available when the Enable Frame Border is on. It allows you to control the thickness of the border in pixels.
	Frame Border Color	this option is only available when the Enable Frame Border is on. It allows you to modify the color of the border.
