Prerequisites

Step-by-step Guide
Follow these steps to add the ShortPoint Code Editor Web Part to your Modern SharePoint sites:
Step 1: Download the SPFx package
You will need the ShortPoint Code Editor Web Part SPFx package to start the process of installing it on your SharePoint sites.
- Go to the official download page
- Click Download
- Provide an email address where you will receive the download link.
- Download the file and unzip it.
For the following steps, you will need the .sppkg file.
Step 2: Open SharePoint App Catalog
Next, navigate to your SharePoint tenant's App Catalog to upload the SPFx package.
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Select SharePoint Admin
- Choose to show More Features
- Open the SharePoint App Catalog
Step 3: Upload the package
Then, upload the SPFx package file to the SharePoint App Catalog.
- Press the Upload button
- Select the SPFx package you downloaded
Step 4: Enable the ShortPoint App
A new window will appear with two options for enabling the app:
- If you want all your SharePoint designers to have access to the web part automatically, you can choose Enable this app and add it to all sites.
- If you prefer to let individual site owners control app installation, select Only enable this app.
Choose the option that best matches your needs and click Enable app.
After enabling the app, you will receive a confirmation message. The ShortPoint Code Editor is now available throughout your SharePoint tenant.
Additional Step for Site Owners: Installing the Code Editor Web Part to a Site
When Only enable this app is selected, site owners must install the ShortPoint Code Editor Web Part individually on their sites. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Go to Site Contents
2. Select to add New App
3. And, add ShortPoint Code Editor Web Part
You're all set! The ShortPoint Code Editor Web Part will now be available in the SharePoint web parts library.
