There are three web parts you can use to display events on your SharePoint page. These web parts are Events, Group Calendar, and List.

Interactive Tutorial
Start the interactive tutorial to see the three ways you can showcase events:

Step-by-step Tutorial
Follow the option that suits you:
OPTION 1: Using the Events Web Part
To use this option, you must already have events in your Events Calendar:
Step 1: Edit the SharePoint Page
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit:
- Close the Toolbox:
Step 2: Add the Events Web Part
- Click the gray plus icon:
- Look for Events and select it.
Step 3: Customize the Web Part
- Add a Title.
- Click the Edit Properties icon:
- Customize the Events web part according to your preferences.
- Close the Events properties:
Step 4: Publish
- Once satisfied, Publish your page:
Congratulations! You now have Events displayed on your page.
OPTION 2: Using the Events Web Part
To use this option, you must already have events in your Group Calendar:
Step 1: Edit the SharePoint Page
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit:
- Close the Toolbox:
Step 2: Add the Group Calendar Web Part
- Click the gray plus icon:
- Look for Group Calendar and select it.
Step 3: Add a Group Calendar
- Select Add Group Calendar.
- From the drop-down, select the name of the group you want to use.
Step 4: Customize the Web Part
- Specify the number of events you want to be shown per page.
- Close the Group Calendar properties:
Step 5: Publish
- Once satisfied, Publish your page:
Congratulations! You now have the events from your group’s calendar on your SharePoint page:
OPTION 3: Using the List Web Part
To use this option, you must have a SharePoint list with a Calendar view:
Step 1: Edit the SharePoint Page
- Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit:
- Close the Toolbox:
Step 2: Add the List Web Part
- Click the gray plus icon:
- Look for List and select it.
Step 3: Add a List
- Select the SharePoint list you want to display.
Step 4: Customize the Web Part
- Click the Edit properties icon:
- Customize the List web part according to your preferences.
- Click Apply.
- Close the List properties:
Step 5: Publish
- Publish your page:

Events

![]() | Category | allows you to choose a category to filter the events. |
![]() | Date Range | allows you to specify the date range to be shown. You can choose from All upcoming events, This week, Next two weeks, This month, This quarter, or choose your own. |
![]() | Enable Audience Targeting | when enabled, you will be able to target content to a specific audience. |
![]() | Title | when enabled, the title will be shown. |
![]() | Layout | allows you to choose the style of the Events. |
![]() | Show up to this many items at a time | allows you to specify the maximum number of items shown. |
![]() | Show event images | when enabled, the image for the events will be shown. |
![]() | Animation | when enabled, an animation will take effect when a user hovers over an event. |
Group Calendar
![]() | Group Name | allows you to choose the name of the group you want to be shown. |
![]() | Number of events per page | allows you to specify the maximum number of events per page. |
List
![]() | List | allows you to choose the list you want to display. |
![]() | View | allows you to choose the view you want to showcase. |
![]() | Folder | allows you to add a folder name. |
![]() | Size | allows you to choose how big the list is. You can choose from Small, Medium, Large, and AutoSize. |
![]() | Show Command bar | when enabled, the command bar will be hidden. |
![]() | Show “See all” button | when enabled, the “See all” button will be hidden. |
![]() | Dynamic Filtering | when enabled, you will be able to filter the displayed list based on the filters of another list. |
