How to Embed an Entire LinkedIn Feed to a SharePoint Page Using the Code Design Element

This article will demonstrate how to embed an entire LinkedIn feed using the Code Design Element:

NOTEFor this guide, we will be using Elfsight’s LinkedIn widgets. However, you can use any LinkedIn widget you prefer.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the latest version of ShortPoint SPFx installed on your SharePoint environment.
  • You must be a ShortPoint Designer with an active license.

Step-by-step Tutorial

The steps have been divided into two parts. Follow along to learn how to embed a LinkedIn feed.


Part 1: Copy the Embed Code

This section details how to get the embed code. For this guide, we will be using Elfsight. However, you can use any LinkedIn widget you prefer.


Step 1: Add LinkedIn URL

Go to Elfsight and click Create Widget for Free:

[1] Choose the template you want to use and click [2] Continue with this template:

Paste the LinkedIn URL of your feed in the field provided and click Add:

Click Add to website for free:

Step 2: Customize LinkedIn Widget

Customize the look of your LinkedIn widget according to your preferences:

Then, click Publish:

Step 3: Copy Embed Code

Click Copy Code:

Part 2: Paste Embed Code

This section will demonstrate how to add the embed code using the Code Design Element.


Step 1: Edit the ShortPoint Web Part

Go to the SharePoint page you want to use and click Edit:

Close the Toolbar:

Edit the ShortPoint web part:

Step 2: Add the Code Design Element

Click the plus icon to open the library of Design Elements:

Look for Code and select it:

Step 3: Paste the code

Paste the copied embed code in Part 1 in the HTML field:

Step 4: Disable Sandbox Mode

Go to the Design tab:

Make sure that Sandbox Mode is disabled:

Step 5: Save

Once satisfied, click the green check mark:

Click the eye icon to see your page in real-time:

Save your changes:


Save


Congratulations! You now have your LinkedIn feed on your SharePoint page:
